L2 Toxicity

Build your character. Find your clan.

Your first login, the road to 85, and what to do once you get there. You can also open the guide in game with Alt+B.

Open beta: try your build

The GM Shop has free +16 weapons, armor and jewelry, including epic boss jewelry, for the beta phase. Pick equipment by category and grade and claim the pieces you want to test. Beta gear is bound to your character. During beta, you can enchant bound gear on the website up to +20 with the normal CoL prices, or use scrolls in game.

Every character receives 500 Coins of Luck on login during beta, once per character, including characters created before beta. Spend them on level boosts, skill enchants and equipment upgrades. Relogging does not give another grant. If your inventory is full, make room and speak to the GM Shop to receive them.

Try classes, fights, farming spots and progression, and share bugs or balance feedback. Players who join during beta and help test will receive a generous starter pack at full release. Its contents and eligibility details will be announced before launch.

Accounts will be kept. Characters and game progress will reset before full release. Beta equipment does not carry over. The starter rewards below describe normal progression.

Your first login

  • Talk to the GM Shop, next to the gatekeeper in every main town, for your starter pack: shots and potions, once per account, up to level 5.
  • Class changes are free: click the question mark that shows up at levels 20, 40 and 76.
  • Skills are learned automatically as you level. Skills that need a book still need it.
  • Hellbound is open without its quest.

Starter gear and your next upgrades

Claim free rewards at the GM Shop in town or from the GM Shop tab on your character page. To claim on the site, log the character out of the game completely.

Level 76
S-grade armor, jewelry and a weapon of your choice. Pick heavy, light or robe; one set per character.
Level 80
Dynasty armor, jewelry and a weapon of your choice. Pick heavy, light or robe; one set per character.
Level 84
Choose heavy, light or robe Vesper armor recipes, one copy per piece (60% success). One pack across all characters on your account. Recipes are tradable; crafting still needs materials, parts and a Dwarven crafter with Create Item level 10.

Starter equipment arrives at +0. Use S-grade enchant scrolls in game beyond +3 with normal success rates and failure penalties; starter gear cannot gain attributes or augments, or be traded, exchanged or crystallized. At full release, bound gear uses scrolls in game and cannot be enchanted on the site. During beta, website enchanting is available up to +20.

Keep farming for scrolls, recipes, parts and materials. Craft, loot or buy Vesper and other normal equipment to progress beyond the starter sets. Buying level 85 for 30 Coins of Luck keeps the same reward eligibility; it does not reset claims.

Buffs

  • Buff at the buffer in town, with saved schemes.
  • Free up to level 76, then 200 Adena per buff.
  • 24 buff slots and 12 for songs and dances. Past that, a new one replaces your oldest.

Travel

  • Gatekeepers are free up to level 76.

Hunting and trading

  • Type .play in chat for auto-play.
  • Drops go straight to your inventory, except from raid bosses.
  • Starter gear gets you farming; it arrives at +0 and uses S-grade enchant scrolls with normal success rates and failure penalties. Keep recipes, equipment parts and crafting materials to sell, or find a crafter to turn them into equipment you can trade and upgrade.
  • Vesper is earned through crafting, drops or the player market. Farmers can sell materials and parts; crafters can sell finished equipment or offer crafting services.
  • Offline shops: set up a private store (sell, buy or craft) in town, then just log out or type .offline. Your character stays in place, shown with a gray name, and keeps selling while you’re away, with no time limit. Server restarts don’t close it. It closes on its own once everything is sold or bought. Logging in that character closes it.
  • Coins of Luck come from playing time, raid bosses, Olympiad and events. Spend them on the GM Shop or on upgrades here on the site.

GM Shop

  • Consumables for Adena: shots, potions, scrolls, arrows, enchant scrolls up to A grade and boss items.
  • For Coins of Luck: hats and masks, Forgotten Scrolls, level 85, Noblesse and clan level 11.
  • Bound S-grade starter gear at 76 and Dynasty at 80, one set per grade and character. Starter gear uses normal scroll enchanting and cannot gain attributes or augments. At 84, choose one Vesper armor recipe pack per account; craft, loot or trade for Vesper.
  • Mana Potion restores 240 MP over 15 seconds; Mana Drug restores 100 MP instantly. Both are sold for Adena. Greater Elixir of Mental Strength (S-Grade) restores 840 MP for characters at level 76–85, with a shared five-minute elixir cooldown. It cannot be used in Olympiad.

At 85, start playing together.

Keep farming and improving your gear, but find a clan while you do it. Clan wars and sieges give your party something to fight for; epic bosses give other clans a reason to show up.
